Method 2: Using Canva

Start with the main video you want to enhance (your A-roll).

Download and save it to your computer.

You can also prepare your own B Roll footage in advance or rely on Canva’s built-in video library.

Keep in mind that available stock videos are limited on the free plan.

For this tutorial, we’ll use the same talking-head video from Method 1.

Go to https://www.canva.com and sign up for a free account if you don’t already have one.

Step 2: Create a New Video Project

After signing up, log in to your Canva dashboard.

On the left-hand menu, click the “Create” (+) button.

In the search bar, type Video.

You’ll see several video format options. Choose the one that matches your A-roll video’s orientation:

• Landscape for horizontal videos
• Portrait for vertical videos

For this example, we’ll select Video (Landscape).

This will open Canva’s video editor.

Step 3: Upload Your A-Roll and B Roll

In the editor, click Uploads in the left-side menu.

Upload:

• Your A-roll video
• Any B Roll footage you prepared (optional)

Once uploaded, drag your A-roll video onto the timeline at the bottom.

Extend the clip so the full video duration is visible and playable.

Step 4: Manually Add B Roll to the Timeline

• To add B Roll, drag a B Roll clip onto the timeline above the A-roll track.
• This places the B Roll on top of the main video while keeping the original audio.
