The reasons people pick Klap over Submagic.
Submagic uses a generic AI model. Klap's AI is optimized for virality: it looks for the hooks, payoffs and emotional peaks that drive views on TikTok, Reels and Shorts, then scores every clip from 0 to 100 and explains the score.
With Klap you only pay for results: every plan counts the clips you get, never the minutes you upload. Submagic charges credits per upload, and its Magic Clips cost extra.
Klap takes videos up to 3 hours on every paid plan. Submagic's editor stops at 2 minutes on Starter and 5 on Pro.
Scheduling, hook titles, brand kit and custom fonts come with every paid Klap plan. On Submagic they start on Pro.
Never spend hours editing your videos again. Klap uses AI to automatically create engaging clips from your content.
AI extracts the best topics from your long video and automatically edits them into many viral-worthy clips.
Automatically reframe your video clips to always focus on the most important subject.
Keep your followers engaged with beautifully designed subtitles and recommended captions to help it go viral.
Fully customize everything to fit the unique needs of your brand: like fonts, colors, logos, and framing.
Directly share your new video clips on your social media channels (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook) and schedule them in to fit your content strategy and ultimately grow your followers.
Once you upload a video, Klap uses artificial intelligence (AI) to identify the most interesting topics. Using intelligent framing and facial recognition to create responsive subtitles, it then converts these topics into shorter clips. In just one click, you can convert a 3-minute YouTube video into 5 ready-to-publish videos for Instagram or TikTok. It’s that simple.
Klap works on any content where there’s speech: podcasts, interviews, webinars, gaming and sports commentary, tutorials, product reviews, trainings, and more.
Klap edits and transcribes videos in 99+ languages including: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Afrikaans, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Galician, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Japanese, Kannada, Kazakh, Korean, Macedonian, Malay, Marathi, Maori, Nepali, Persian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swahili, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Welsh.
You can try Klap free on 1 video with no credit card: create a free account and Klap turns that video into clips you can preview and edit. Downloading and posting clips needs a paid plan. Paid exports carry no Klap branding. Paid plans: Basic is $14.50/month for 100 clips a month, Pro $39.50/month for 300 clips and Pro+ $94.50/month for 1,000 clips, all billed yearly ($29, $79 and $189 month to month).

Klap's plans count the clips you get: 100, 300 or 1,000 a month. The length of your video doesn't use up your plan, and videos can run up to 3 hours. Submagic charges credits per upload, and Magic Clips cost extra.
