Klap billing, refunds and cancellation
Updated November 4, 2026
Klap plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing page, it's free, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. If you're not satisfied, you can get a full refund within your first month, on monthly and yearly plans.
How do I cancel my Klap subscription?
Open your billing page at klap.app/billing, click the three-dot menu on your plan's row and choose Cancel, then confirm. Cancelling is free, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
- Log in and open your billing page. It's also in the account menu, under Billing.
- Under Current plans, click the three-dot menu on your plan's row, then Cancel.
- If you have posts scheduled after your plan ends, Klap warns you first.
- Klap may ask why you're leaving, or offer a pause or a discount. You don't have to accept anything. Choose to cancel and confirm.
- Your plan's row now shows "Cancellation scheduled for" and the date.
You don't need a third-party service to cancel, and Klap never charges a fee for it. If you can't log in, email support@klap.app.
What happens after I cancel?
You won't be charged again, and you keep your plan until the date shown on your billing page. After that date, you can't turn new videos into clips or export new ones. Until then, you can undo the cancellation by choosing Renew in the same menu.
- Posts scheduled after the end date are removed. Klap warns you before you confirm.
- If your last payment failed, the plan ends as soon as you cancel, because there's no paid time left.
- On the API plan, the final invoice covers your usage up to the end date.
When does Klap charge me?
Plans renew automatically until you cancel. Monthly plans are charged every month on the date you subscribed, and yearly plans once a year. Your next charge date and amount are on your billing page, next to Next invoice.
If a payment fails, Klap retries it and emails you a link to pay or update your card. If it's still unpaid after about 30 days, the plan is cancelled.
How are Klap's yearly plans charged?
A yearly plan is one payment up front for all 12 months: $174 for Basic, $474 for Pro and $1,134 for Pro+. The per-month prices on the pricing page are there to compare plans. You aren't charged every month.
| Plan | Month to month | Yearly, one payment | Yearly, per month | Clips |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $29 a month | $174 a year | $14.50 | 100 a month, or 1,200 a year on yearly |
| Pro | $79 a month | $474 a year | $39.50 | 300 a month, or 3,600 a year on yearly |
| Pro+ | $189 a month | $1,134 a year | $94.50 | 1,000 a month, or 12,000 a year on yearly |
- A yearly plan gets the whole year's clips in one pool, to use when you like.
- It renews once a year until you cancel.
- Your billing page shows whether you pay per month or per year. Checkout shows the exact amount due before you pay.
- Yearly plans have the same first-month refund as monthly plans.
What is Klap's refund policy?
If you're not satisfied, you can get a full refund within your first month, on monthly and yearly plans. After your first month, refunds cover your most recent unused months, up to 3: the monthly payment on a monthly plan, and 1/12 of the yearly price per month on a yearly plan.
| Plan | When you ask | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | Within your first month | Full refund |
| Monthly | After your first month | The payments for your most recent unused months in a row, up to 3 |
| Yearly | Within your first month | Full refund |
| Yearly | After your first month | 1/12 of the yearly price for each of your most recent fully elapsed unused months in a row, up to 3 |
A month counts as unused if you didn't process a new video in Klap during it. A month with a new video stops the count, so after your first month, no refund applies if you processed a video in your most recent month. These rules are section 10 of our Terms of Service.
How do I get a refund?
Cancel your plan first, then ask for your refund in the live chat on klap.app or at support@klap.app. Klap checks the refund rules and refunds eligible payments. Refunds typically take 5 to 10 business days to reach you.
- Cancel your plan. Refunds are only available on a cancelled plan.
- Message us in the live chat on klap.app, or email support@klap.app from the address on your account.
Cancelling first doesn't cost you your plan. If no refund applies, you keep your plan until its end date and can choose Renew to undo the cancellation. If a refund goes through, your plan ends right away.
If a bug or an outage stopped you from using Klap, tell us that too.
What does Klap's free trial include?
You can try Klap free on 1 video with no credit card: create a free account and Klap turns that video into clips you can preview and edit. Downloading and posting clips needs a paid plan. Paid exports carry no Klap branding. Klap doesn't ask for a card, so the trial can't turn into a paid plan on its own.
How do Klap's plan limits work?
Plans count clips, not source minutes: 100 clips a month on Basic, 300 on Pro and 1,000 on Pro+, from videos up to 3 hours long. A clip counts when Klap generates it. If you run out, Klap doesn't bill you extra: it asks you to upgrade, or you can wait for your next renewal.
- Your allowance resets on your renewal date, and unused clips don't carry over. On a yearly plan, that's once a year.
- If a job fails, its clips are given back. Deleting a clip doesn't give it back.
- Draft clips don't count until you generate them.
- Processing the same video again, or generating clips in another language, counts as new clips.
- Downloading and posting your clips aren't counted on top of that on a paid plan.
Can I change my Klap plan?
Yes, with Update plan on your billing page. Moving to a bigger plan, or from monthly to yearly, applies right away with credit for the unused part of your current plan, and Klap shows the total due today before you confirm. Moving from yearly to monthly starts when your paid year ends.
- Moving from monthly to yearly restarts your billing date.
- A scheduled move to monthly shows as Update scheduled on your plan, and you can cancel it from the same menu.
Where are my invoices, and is tax included?
Your invoices are on your billing page. Prices are in US dollars and already include tax where it applies, so a $29 plan costs $29 at checkout. Businesses can add a VAT or tax ID at checkout.
To update your card or billing details, click Manage on your billing page.
Who charges me for Klap?
Klap is sold by ZIGG SAS, a company registered in France. Payments are processed by Stripe, and charges show as KLAP.APP on your statement.
